The six private security officials who witnessed the attacks on a man in Albufeira in October are "prohibited from working" in that municipality.
In addition to the partial suspension of the professional title of doorman security, known generically as private security in night entertainment spaces, the two private security companies that employ the guards are also "forbidden to carry out their activity in the establishment where the attacks too place", says the released statement.
The attacks by a private security officer against a client in a nightlife space in Albufeira, took place on October 3rd and were publicised on October 9th across social networks.

The PSP initially proposed the suspension of the offending private security official on October 14th, an action confirmed by the Deputy Secretary of State and Internal Administration, Antero Luís.
After a "more detailed" analysis by the PSP's Private Security Department, it was also possible to determine that six private security officials "witnessed the attacks that occurred" without having taken "any action to stop them, as it was and is their legal obligation to", highlights the note.
On October 20th, the PSP launched the procedures to propose the "suspension of activity" of the six private security officials, who did not fulfill their functional duties.
On the same date, the partial suspension of the private security activity of the two companies for which the private security employees worked was also proposed.
By decision of the Deputy Secretary of State and of Home Affairs, on October 28th all of the suspensions were applied, which remain until their "review or until the conclusion of the criminal investigation and the ongoing administrative process".
Images from the video released on social networks showed that shortly after the start of the aggression, which lasted about 30 seconds, two soldiers from a GNR intervention team entered the space, at which time the victim was left inanimate on the ground by the aggressor.
After the images were released, questioned by Lusa news agency, the GNR said that two people had been identified - the aggressor and the victim - and that the victim had refused medical assistance.
The PSP calls on all private security companies, as well as their employees who carry out this activity, to "comply with the applicable legal framework, in strict respect for the rights, freedoms and guarantees" of citizens.
