A 52 year old workman has died in an electrocution accident, in Estoi, when the crane he was manoeuvering touched a high voltage cable.
The alert was given around 15:30, but when emergency services arrived several attempts at resuscitation were made without success, and the death was declared on the spot by the INEM doctor.
As a result of the electrical discharge, another workman close by was slightly injured and was taken to Faro Hospital.
INEM, Sapadores de Faro, GNR, E-Redes and EDP were on site.
