An overturned Mercedes car was found yesterday morning, in the salt flats next to Faro's commercial centre.
There was no sign of anyone inside or next to the vehicle, which it is assumed, skidded and turned upside down.
The vehicle was discovered at dawn yesterday, after an alert was given to the emergency services.
It is not yet known who owns the mystery vehicle or whether it was stolen.
