The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere have put the Algarve under orange warning due to wind and rough seas, beginning from 18:00h on Tuesday 17th January.
The warning remains in place until 22:00h on Wednesday 18th January.
The orange warning from IPMA means the risk is moderate to high, and the population must follow the recommendations of the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection (ANEPC).
