The crew of the Ferragudo Lifeguard Station rescued a 19 year old German girl yesterday, after she suffered a dislocated leg while disembarking onto an inaccessible beach, from a kayak.
The emergency services were called by the girls' companion at 14:24 yesterday afternoon, with the Lifeguards and Portimão Maritime Police immediately dispatched to Praia do Cão Raivoso, a beach only accessible by sea, between Benagil and Praia da Marinha.
The victim was transported to nearby Benagil beach, where members of the Lagoa Volunteer Firefighters were waiting to help and transport the victim to hospital.
