A man has been arrested by the PSP on suspicion of multiple robberies at various restaurants in Lagos. The most recent robbery took place at dawn yesterday, at the “Berlim” beach restaurant, Meia Praia.
Residents and traders have understandably been concerned at the spate of robberies, but are relieved now that the suspect has supposedly been identified.
At yesterdays' robbery the suspect did as he had allegedly done in other robberies, broke the door of the establishment to enter. Yesterday, he managed to take 250 euros in coins, a cell phone and a tablet. He left behind a syringe that was collected by the Maritime Police.
The man is linked to drug trafficking and consumption and is awaiting a court ruling for other thefts committed in Lagos.
