Highest temperature in the country yesterday was in the Algarve

HIGHEST TEMPERATURE IN THE COUNTRY YESTERDAY WAS IN THE ALGARVEThe temperature reached a scorching 43.7 degrees yesterday, in Rio Grande do Sul in Alcoutim, close to the Spanish border.

Further west in the Algarve, the temperature of 39.5 degrees recorded at the IPMA station in Portimão (located near the Aerodrome), and in Loulé (Cavalos De Caldeirão) 38.7 degrees were reached.

Temperatures are expected to be similar today, but cooling down a little from Friday.
