A 36 year old man who was wanted by the police for a home robbery in Quarteira, where residents were threatened with a gun and robbed, has been arrested in Almodôvar, Beja.
The Judicial Police (PJ) in Almodôvar arrested the man yesterday at a house where he was hiding, for the robbery using a firearm in the early hours of December 20th, 2024, in Quarteira, Loulé.
“During the robbery, the man, together with third parties who have not yet been identified, entered a residence in Quarteira by climbing, surprising its occupants,” the police said.
With the alleged robbers inside the house, the occupants were “handcuffed, attacked, threatened with death and stripped of some gold and cash objects”, said the PJ, without specifying the amounts.
The man is from the Quarteira area and knew the residence he allegedly robbed. The PJ continues to investigate, to try to identify other alleged perpetrators of the robbery.
