A 55 year old drug trafficking cyclist in Quarteira was approached by the GNR and ended up being arrested, for selling cocaine.
According to the GNR, it was during an action to prevent and combat crime that the military “approached an individual who was riding a bicycle”.
“A personal security search was carried out on the suspect, and it was possible to determine that he was in possession of narcotic products, which led to his arrest.”
The GNR reveals that a subsequent house search at the man's home led to the seizure of 1109 doses of cocaine, two precision scales, two cell phones and 2,085 euros in cash.
This arrest was carried out by military personnel from the Criminal Investigation Unit (NIC) of the Loulé Territorial Detachment.
The man will be brought before the Faro Judicial Court for the application of coercive measures.
