A five-star hotel with 158 units is to be built on an area of 20,000 m2 next to Meia Praia, in Lagos, representing an investment of €60 million.
According to a statement, MAP Engenharia e Construção has been hired to carry out the construction of the five-star tourist 'resort', stating that this project requires “high standards” of construction, materials and finishes, for the new resort to establish itself as “an icon of hospitality and contemporary architecture”.
The project, led by Reify, is promoted by Sonae Sierra in partnership with PGIM Real Estate and IHSP - Iberian Hospitality Solutions. It includes a gross construction area of approximately 20,000 m2 plus an additional 22,500 m2 of outdoor space, on an urban plot overlooking the sea and the Palmares Golf Course.
José Rui Meneses e Castro, co-CEO of the group, says that “this is a demanding project, with international standards of excellence”.
