A railway collision with a car at a level crossing near Poço Barreto in Silves yesterday evening resulted in two people being injured.
The accident happened at around at 7:31 PM last night, at the level crossing near Poço Barreto. The two people injured were taken to Portimão Hospital.
The railway line and road between Alcantarilha and Silves was closed until around 10:00 pm while the car and train were removed from the line.
Seventeen emergency crew were deployed to the site, supported by seven vehicles, including members of the rescue teams and police forces.
