A 19-year-old from Lisbon is seriously injured after falling from a cliff near Praia da Rocha’s well-known “avenue of bars”.
The accident happened in the early hours of Sunday morning, near Outro Bar, which is already known for incidents of this kind, explains Correio da Manhã.
The youngster is understood to have been out on the town with friends and larking about on top of the wall leading down to rocks below.
“He suddenly lost his balance and fell from a height of around six metres”, eyewitnesses told the paper.
Unable to move and seriously injured, the young man was transported to the beach by Maritime Police and then taken to Portimão hospital by ambulance.
