São Brás council is continuing its crowd-pleasing municipal works campaign as it announced €100,000 is to be spent on improving Parque da Vila in “another step in the city's urban renewal strategy.”
This project follows on from the first phase to develop the area surrounding the bus station. This is a "100 % accessible park," reflecting "the effort and investment" of the municipality in implementing the municipal plan."

The work of redevelopment of Parque da Vila will have all sorts of user friendly aspects including pedestrian crossings with tactile paving and new signage for pedestrians, as well as runners who will be treated to a new running track surface.
The €100,000 will transform about 2000m2 including new paving, parking spaces, new trees and shrubs with an irrigation system, new street furniture and a pedestrian connection to the Largo de São Sebastião.
