Summertime Doctors head for the Algarve - all four of them

8598The Ministry of Health’s big push to attract doctors to the Algarve for the summer season has resulted in the temporary employment of just four recruits.

This number is even fewer that in 2016 when a flood of seven doctors headed south as part of a mobility programme being run by the Ministry.

Moldovan worker swept along underground pipe for 600 metres

The worker had fallen down the Poço Seco - Boavista access point. He dropped 20 metres into the water below.

This will not be a cash fine of course, the owners of SIRESP SA are far too influential for that, but the government will agree a discount to the whopping annual cost of a system that in fact needs upgrading or scrapping.

Faro council has list of 130 trees that are 'a danger to the public'

A huge branch crashed to the ground last week in the Alameda João de Deus garden, provoking urgent questions about public safety, especially after the accident in Madeira last weekend where a falling tree killed 13 people at a religious festival.

Environment Minister plans to end Armona island land dispute
