The Best Portuguese Golf Course was not in the Algarve as The Royal Obidos won the category but the Pine Cliffs Resort won the award for the Best Hotel in Portuguese Golf 2015.

Expat drowns off Albandeira beach, Lagoa

The 37-year-old man and a group of his friends were hit by a huge wave on Sunday afternoon. The wave was estimated by survivors as being 3 metres high.

Germany caught spying on Portuguese embassy

"The BND (German external intelligence agency) spied systematically on its 'friends' around the world, including the US Department of the Interior and governments including those in Poland, Austria, Denmark and Croatia," according to the newspaper.

Italy warned to slim down its children

romebikeItaly has been warned that it is facing a severe problem in the coming years due to the high rates of overweight and obese children.

In its annual health report, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development singled out Italy, saying that the number of overweight and obese children in Italy was “among the highest in the world” and that this will “lead to a greater demand for healthcare in the future.”
