Last week, on June 1st, the Rotary Club of Albufeira hosted the joint meeting of the Presidents and Assistant Governors, for the rotary years 2025/2026 and 2026/2027.
The event was attended by representatives from the 13 rotary clubs of the Algarve, and the Rotaract Club of Tavira. 
The session provided an opportunity to analyze topics related to the strategic planning of the clubs, membership development, service projects, institutional partnerships, public image, and initiatives of The Rotary Foundation.
Among the topics discussed, particular emphasis was placed on the monitoring of projects of regional interest, namely in the fields of healthcare and rehabilitation, as well as the sharing of best practices among the different clubs in the Algarve.
During the meeting, the Rotary Club of Albufeira also presented some of the initiatives currently being prepared for the upcoming rotary year, including the celebration of the club's 55th anniversary, a milestone marking more than five decades of service to the community.
The day concluded with a fellowship gathering among the participants, strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation that characterize the Rotary movement.
Founded in 1971, the Rotary Club of Albufeira continues to develop community support projects, promoting the values of service, ethics, friendship, and peace.
