December 2025 CONCERTS with French pianist Dona Sevene

For the next AMIGOS de Música Concerts in December 2025, we are delighted to welcome for the first time, Dona Sévène, an acclaimed virtuoso pianist from France, laureate of prestigious international competitions and scholarships who is praised for her subtle, nuanced, deeply expressive playing.

Dona is a demanding, creative artist, constantly seeking connections between different styles and artistic worlds, embracing both jazz and modern works.

The first concert will take place on Tuesday 2^nd of December and Dona Sévène will play works by Frédéric Chopin, Franz Schubert and Franz Liszt. The second concert will be on Thursday 4th of December and have as theme « At the Court of Forgotten Dances» with works by J.S.Bach, Bach-Busoni, Haendel, Ravel, Poulenc and Debussy.

Both performances start at 19:00 and take place in Monte Os Agostos, an impressive XVlllth century country estate located above Santa Bárbara de Nexe (https://www.osagostos.com/concerts ).

Doors open at 18:15 and refreshments will be available before the concert and during the interval. Tickets are reserved in advance and include refreshments and drinks.

Entry donation is €30 per person for guests and non-members, payable in advance by bank transfer (see website www.amigosdemusica.org ).

Dona Sévène was awarded First Prizes in both Piano and Chamber Music from the CNSM conservatory of Paris with honours, First Prize for Advanced Studies unanimously from the Sta Cecilia Academy in Rome and the Lavoisier Scholarship from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Having received guidance from renowned masters such as Brigitte Engerer, Sergio Perticaroli, and Paul Badura-Skoda, she won several international competitions and her brilliant career has taken her to many countries. A performer of great virtuosity, committed, sensitive and sincere but also eclectic, Dona knows how to approach rich and varied musical universes, embracing both jazz and modern works.

She performs chamber music with Pierre Amoyal, David Bismuth, Henri Demarquette, Gaëtane Prouvost, Guillaume Martigné, the Psophos Quartet, Julie Fuchs and many others…
