Diplomatico Restaurant in Quarteira is a new French bistro that offers a different dining experience in the Algarve.
Herve and Valerie, from France, took over this restaurant last October and have reopened late February with a brand new decoration and a different menu.
Valerie, front of house and Herve, behind the stove, have created a very cosy and friendly atmosphere in an original Portuguese house converted into a beautiful restaurant.
Every day they welcome their guests with a traditional and generous French cuisine, serving only home made dishes, using the best of the products the Algarve has to offer.
For lunch on the large terrace enjoy a grilled Sea Bream with French style sautéd vegetables, fresh Niçoise Salad, a tasty and tender Argentinian Angus Rib Eye, or for the more adventurous why not try the Steak Tartare or Snails?
In the evening, taste the slow cooked Lamb Shank, the Duck Magret served with peach sauce and other traditional French bistro type dishes, for an enjoyable dinner with ambient music, good wines and delicious desserts.
The new cosy lounge with golden arches is ideal for a nice glass of the carefully selected Portuguese wines, or a cocktail with a plate of the chef ’s terrine or home made dips with French baguette.
Every week the Diplomatico Restaurant offers a special 3 course menu at lunch for 15€, and for dinner a special menu for "Early Birds" between 6:30pm and 7:30pm at 16.50€.
According to the Covid-19 regulations, the occupancy is limited to halfthe normal capacity, so it is highly recommended to book a table in advance.
