The Chinese authorities have announced today the suspension of the air link between Portugal and China, for a period of two weeks, after detecting seven cases of Covid-19, on May 14th, on a flight from Lisbon.
In a statement posted on its official website, the Civil Aviation Administration of China reported that the flight between Lisbon and the Chinese city of Xi'an, operated by Beijing Capital Airlines, will be suspended from May 31st.
"After the suspension period, the operation can be resumed, with the frequency of one flight per week", reads the same note.
The Asian country, where Covid-19 emerged in December 2019, was the first to contain the outbreak, which is why it has come to fear a resurgence due to cases from abroad, especially Chinese trying to return to the country.
Chinese authorities cut air connections to the outside in late March last year as the new coronavirus spread across the world. Beijing Capital Airlines resumed the flight between Portugal and China at the end of last August, 2020.

How does amplification work! Is it something that Bojo Johnson came up with.
Entry into China means: 14 days must be spent at a centralised quarantine facility, followed by 7 days community health monitoring. During the quarantine period 6 tests will be taken and on the last day of quarantine 2 nasal swabs will be send to different labs and test with different reagents.
There are certain people on here who spend their time posting multiple votes. Sad!
If you ignore the mainstream narrative for a second and consider that covid19 is more about politics and money than it is a medical condition, it might make more sense. Chances are those people did have negative tests, but as we all (should) know by now the PCR test can easily be faked to give a positive result 'on demand' simply by increasing the number of amplification samples. There will be an underlying agenda, of that you can be sure.
Whilst China maybe a geographically attractive country, it’s human rights record is appalling . Summary executions, prisoners, in fear of their lives, and presumably paid very little, if anything, make cheap greetings cards for UK, Supermarkets(Morrison’s/Sainsbury’s/
Hallmark come to mind) cheap underwear (for M&S) amongst others.
I do my best not to buy Chinese.
