REMAINS FOUND IN A SUITCASE ARE CONFIRMED AS SANDRA ANDRADE'SSadly, the police have confirmed that the remains found in a suitcase in Almancil belong to Sandra Andrade, the 49-year-old woman from Quarteira, who had been missing since the end of June.

"All the evidence collected so far points to the fact that the corpse belongs to that person who was missing," said the police source, adding that the victim's family has already been informed.

A tattoo on her left arm and a bracelet helped to identify Sandrs body.

Authorities are still carrying out investigations to definitively certify the victim's identity and to determine the circumstances of death. The investigation into the murder is now entering a new phase, in which The Judiciary Police's priority is to identify and locate the perpetrator of this macabre crime.

Sandra's body was found in an area of ​​woodland, in São Lourenço, Almancil.
