During a regular patrol in Alvor, the GNR have seized 808 counterfeit items for sale by a street vendor whose stall, "displayed various brands, namely clothing, footwear and fashion accessories".
The stall holder, a 56 year old man was arrested, and the facts referred to the Portimão Judicial Court.
The GNR said in their statement that the main objective of this type of action is to "guarantee compliance with industrial property rights, essentially aiming to combat counterfeiting, illegal use of brands and the sale of counterfeit items".
