The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Loulé GNR have arrested three men aged between 21 and 23, after an investigation that has been ongoing for five months.
In addition, three others aged between 18 and 46, were named as defendants for robbery.
In a statement, the GNR said that as part of a investigation related to a robbery on a public road in the city of Quarteira, "the Guard's military personnel carried out police investigations that culminated in the identification of all the suspects".
Three house searches were carried out, which resulted in the arrest of the three individuals, the indictment of three others, and the seizure of 226 doses of cocaine, 219 doses of hashish, 100 doses of marijuana, three revolvers, a shotgun, four knives, 39 rounds of ammunition, three spent rounds of ammunition, three mobile phones, a gold ring, a gold chain, a watch, three digital scales, a grinder with hashish residue, 29 zip bags, a roll of cling film and €2,815 in cash.
The detainees were charged and the facts have been reported to the Faro Judicial Court.
