A 26 year old driver skidded off the road on the EN124/1, in Silves at around 2am yesterday morning, luckily suffering only minor injuries.
12 Silves Firefighters and GNR personnel were dispatched to the scene, where the vehicle had hit an acoustic panel after the driver lost control, then burst into flames.
The driver managed to get out of the vehicle safely, but the car was destroyed by the fire.
The victim was taken to Portimão Hospital.
