The Faro PSP have arrested a 29 year old man, for domestic violence and illegal possession of a firearm.
Following a report of domestic violence in which the victim was "violently attacked the previous day, in addition to being intimidated with the use of a firearm", the PSP coordinated with the Faro Public Prosecutor's Office, for search warrants to be issued.
The attacker was found to be in possession of an illegal weapon, a 6.35 mm caliber pistol, which he allegedly used in the crime.
During the search of the man's house, with the support of the GNR, a hunting weapon, several rounds of ammunition, five cannabis plants, 378 individual doses of hashish and a precision scale were also seized.
The detainee, who already had a history of domestic violence, appeared in court and was given preventive detention.
