Airport chaos as from Friday, July 1st as strikes go ahead

ryanair13The planned industrial action at all of Portugal’s airports is to start on Friday July 1st and continue over the weekend as talks have failed to produce a solution to long-running labour problems.

Whizzy new bypass opened on the EN125 at Almancil

bypassTroto2The new bypass was opened yesterday between Almancil and the A22 to Faro link road just to the north of the Algarve Stadium.

The journey, if heading west from Faro, will take drivers north of São Lourenço to reconnect at the roundabout at the bottom of the hill at Quatro Estradas where they can continue along the EN125, turn north to Loulé or head south to Quarteira.

Correia had been found guilty by Faro court of misusing his political office by authorising the construction of three houses and one swimming pool in a National Ecological Reserve (REN) area within the Tavira municipality.
