Socialsist leader António Costa has come the closest yet to stating that the toll systems on former free SCUT roads in the Alentejo and Algarve will end.
Speaking to reporters on his election roadshow today, the socialist leader referred to the need to "make a reassessment of the financial obligations that the state took on" and that "in order to allow either in the interior regions or in all border regions and even in particular areas where tourists come in, such as the Algarve’s Via do Infante, to delete and create conditions to create better accessibility conditions."
