José Manuel Barroso, the former President of the European Commission considers that the British influence in the European Union has declined to the point that London has ceased to be the link between Brussels and Washington.
Barroso also warned the British Government that a possible exit from the EU would be a real mistake.
From January 1st, 2015 when working out your tax returns, only invoices that include your tax number (NIF) will be accepted by the taxman, according to the director general of the tax department, António Brigas Afonso.
Afonso said that taxpayers should always ask suppliers for invoices that include their tax number if they want later to submit them as legitimate expenses when working out income tax.
The GNR’s ‘Ano Novo Seguro’ operation starts today until January 4th as the police patrol roads and set up roadside inspection points - specifically on the routes to and from popular sites hosting New Year’s Eve festivities - ‘in order to prevent road accidents.’
