They include interrogation reports and photographs. The documents include surveillance reports on organisations such as the Bolshevik Party, British Communist Party and The Boy Scout Association.

New cases are up for both men and women as the long-running economic crisis takes its toll. Women in a younger age bracket, between 45 and 54-years old, are now most at risk according to a study by the National Institute of Health.

Irishmen arrested at Faro airport

Moncarapacho - 85-year old fined for handling stolen scrap

scrapGNR command in Faro announced today that an illegal scrap business has been shut down in Foupana, Moncarapacho which was operating on land attached to the house of an elderly man, who now has been issued with a fine of €20,000.

The area was sealed off on Monday by the environmental protection police from Faro who fined the 85-year old owner for not having a license for waste management.

Monchique fire quelled

Firefighters were soon on the scene and there was no real threat to nearby houses as the crew extinguished the flames, according to Rui André, the dynamic mayor of Monchique.

Faro's car rental tax is suspended

The legal move was made last week by the Association of Rent-a-Car Companies in the Algarve (ARAC) and the unexpected news of the successful legal move came just days after ANA had taken a page in a national newspaper to explain the new charges.
