GNR officers were kept busy last weekend as many drivers failed to take heed of the simplest rule of the road and were arrested and fined for being over the drink-drive limit.

The GNR arrested 262 people on Saturday and Sunday, mostly for driving under the influence of alcohol, by pulling people over at random at well marked inspection areas up and down the country.
