Like everyone else in our community the last 2 years have taught All Saints Anglican Church a great deal. It has been a season for “new beginnings” and “firsts”.

Last Sunday, in brilliant sunshine, All Saints Anglican Church Algarve were delighted to welcome Rafael and his mother Ana to their service at The Church in the Park in the Jardim das Comunidades, Almancil.

In the Christian Church, Wednesday 2nd March 2022 is the beginning of Lent, the 46-day period leading up to Easter and for some Christians this a time marked by sacrifice or fasting. In many Churches this time of year a common topic of conversation is “so what are you giving up for Lent?”

After a brief suspension of in person worship services over the Christmas and New Year period, The Church in the Park, All Saints Anglican Church Algarve, recently opened its doors again in glorious sunshine.

This year on the evening of January 6th, the celebration of Epiphany, the Congregation of All Saints Anglican Church Algarve together with their friends and family joined together to continue with the long-established Anglican tradition of “Chalking the Doors”.

Last Sunday, on the 14th November 2021, All Saints Anglican Church Almancil, led the community in a solemn act of remembrance for all those who had given their lives in war in the service of their Country.

In the past 18 months we have all experienced some difficult times – some of us more than others, but during the days of the curfews, lockdowns and restrictions it seemed more than a little unusual to contemplate a Festival of Thanksgiving at All Saints Anglican Church Algarve in Almancil.

Over the years the Jardim das Comunidades in Almancil has hosted all kinds of community events. From Cafes to Picnics, from Concerts to the start of Rallys, from Children’s play areas to a dedicated exercise station, it is clearly a favourite spot for the people of Almancil to walk, relax and enjoy the gardens throughout the seasons.
