Release demanded for arrested hacktivists

anonYesterday’s arrest of alleged computer hackers from the underground group Anonymous has sparked more hack attacks from remaining cyber warriors, this time on the websites of the Institute of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Lisbon, and of the Attorney General’s office.

Early on Friday morning the Meo.Extreme and NyAnonymous groups attacked these two websites and claimed to have shut them down overnight, although both were running as normal this morning.

GNR patrols in drug bust success

Prime Minister distances himself from BES investment scandal

In the opinion of the Prime Minister, it is up to regulators to solve the problems caused to 2,500 individual buyers of BES investments that were marketed as safe by BES branch staff but which in fact were invested by BES in a vain attempt to prop up parts of the crumbling Grupo Banco Espírito Santo empire which later failed.
