Thanks to the generosity of the local community the Silves-based family charity Castelo de Sonhos (CdeS) once again reached its target of 200 shoeboxes filled with Christmas gifts.

Almancil International Rotary Club raised a total of 7,500 Euros at their recent golf tournament and raffle, which will enable the club to present Christmas food hampers to local people dependant on food donations distributed by  Associaçao São Vicente de Paulo de São Lourenço in Almancil.

Associaçao de Caridade Mãos de Ajuda (Helping Hands Charitable Association) is an independent charity, founded in September 2016. We opened a shop in November 2016 in Tavira, which will soon have been operating for five years.

Almancil International Rotary Club (AIRC) has for many years been supporting the Rotary International Campaign which aims to eradicate Polio in countries throughout the world.  The club has been raising funds with, amongst other events, an annual sponsored walk along the Ria Formosa at Quinta do Lago.
