Work began today on the expansion of Lagos Marina, a €12.5 million investment set to create 102 new berths for large vessels. The first phase of the project is expected to be completed by September.

A landslide struck a house and a car this Tuesday, 10th February in Ponte da Barca, a village in the northern Portuguese district of Viana do Castelo, prompting the precautionary evacuation of 20 people. A man who fell into a sinkhole which opened suddenly along a pedestrian pathway in Lagoa was injured in the early hours of this morning, remaining trapped down the hole for two hours.
