Case of murdered 84-year-old Faro woman comes to court

farocourtA 26-year-old man is being tried this week on charges of qualified homicide and robbery, all relating to events last September when he went on a rampage.

He is accused of murdering Delmira Miranda, 84, in Faro and of assaulting two others at separate incidents at their in Olhão and Faro.

The Public Prosecution Service has appealed against the suspension of the two sentences for corruption and embezzlement handed out to the two women.

"It's a way to broaden our investor base and attract funding," Centeno said at the end of a three-day visit to China.
