The Oceânico World Golf Kids Championship returned to Amendoeira Golf Resort for its tenth staging last week. 140 of the world’s most promising young golfers descended on the resort for an unforgettable week of golf and celebrations to mark the 10th anniversary of the prestigious event.
Spain has come out on top in the Padel Nations Cup by Barral, which for the first time was held at the Tennis Academy in Vale do Lobo on August 2nd and 3rd 2018.

With under a week until entries close for the 2018 Oceânico World Kids Golf Championship (OWKG), Amendoeira has announced a partnership with the Portugal Pro Golf Tour, which will see the winner of the U18 category play in an event of their choice on the Algarve’s premier golf Tour.

The rankings for best golf club are compiled based on numerous aspects influencing the quality of the golf club, such as the golf course itself, the overall impression of the club, maintenance, facilities such as practice facilities, clubhouse and the perceived value for money.
The Guadiana Challenge was born in September 2014 when Nick Robinson and a friend stand up paddled 32km from Mértola to Alcoutim.
This was such an incredible trip that he couldn't wait to share it with other, like minded paddlers. Nick posted details of the journey on his Algarve SUP website and a few people asked to be notified of when he was going down again. He hadn't planned anything but thought how incredible it would be to do the trip with a group of people.

Amendoeira Golf Resort is celebrating a landmark season in its nine-year history as the recipient of two prestigious awards in recent weeks, closely following the climax of a calendar of prominent events in 2017.
First up for the Portuguese resort were the Travel & Hospitality Awards in October, where Amendoeira was recognised as the Algarve Resort of the Year, beating off stiff competition in one of Europe’s most-visited and competitive destinations. This was closely followed by further success at the Luxury Travel Group Awards, held on 6th November at London’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel, as Amendoeira scooped the Luxury Hotel & Golf Resort of the Year title.
Riding for the Disabled Barlavento took 4 excited NECI students to Porto for the finals of the Special Olympics on 23rd November in Porto.
