Padraig Harrington won on the European tour at Vilamoura this weekend, raising him from 159th to 97th in the rankings as he held off the challenge of defending champion Andy Sullivan at the Portugal Masters showing calm under pressure with a closing 65 to finish 23 under par.
Sullivan won the event by nine shots last season and this year looked good with birdies on four out of his first five holes giving him 22 under par at the end of the weekend.
The 2nd edition of the Golf Corporate Day, organized by Casas do Barlavento, took place on Saturday the 30th of September, at the Boavista Golf & Spa Resort.
Another raving success for the company with 84 players making up 21 teams of 4 players in a Texas Scramble, which everybody has enjoyed immensely once again. From within the 84 players, there were owners, buyers and business partners of Casas do Barlavento, the real estate agency directed by Luís Ledo.
Embarking on a brand new adventure on the 25th September 2016, an international team of four men and one woman (including two Algarvians) is paddling down the Spanish Border across Northern Portugal to Porto on stand up paddle boards.
They will cross through the beautiful Douro Valley which has been awarded UNESCO World Heritage status.
